The Government of India has given US$150,000 to Authority for Reconstruction with Changes (RCC), agency in charge of restoration and refurbishment of affected areas following disastrous rain and landslides in Peru.

Resources will be aimed at "Coastal El Niño" phenomenon stricken areas.

RCC head Pablo de la Flor accepted the donation by resolution published in El Peruano official gazette.

The regulation provides that Authority for Reconstruction with Changes shall approve financial aid grants by national, international, public, or private bodies only if the sum of money is less than five Peruvian Tax Units (UITs).

The contribution is intended to finance the reconstruction process in northern areas, following Coastal El Niño disasters.

Also, RCC is authorized to carry out financial transfers in favor of "Fund to Intervene at the Time of Natural Disasters" (FONDES).

The document was signed by Authority for Reconstruction with Changes (RCC) Executive Director Pablo de la Flor.
