As part of efforts to position Peruvian nutrient-rich products abroad, the Superfoods Peru brand was recently launched in the Chinese capital city of Beijing.

Said initiative seeks to meet the expectations of China's northern markets. In this sense, Peru makes a step forward in the promotion of its exportable supply.

Held at Aegean Shopping Mall, the Superfoods Peru launching ceremony gathered at least 300 attendees. The event was also watched by over 900,000 people via live streaming.

The launching also featured a Peruvian delegation of businessmen engaged in the superfoods sector. At the site, national entrepreneurs met with Chinese buyers who were able to taste various natural, healthy and organic products.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Peruvian Ambassador to China Juan Carlos Capuñay.

In addition, the event saw the presence of renowned media companies from the Asian nation, including China Daily, China.org and China Industrial Economy News, among others.

As is known, the brand has also arrived in Germany, the UK and South Korea.

Superfoods Peru

Launched last February, "Superfoods Peru" is a public-private initiative to further advertise the quality, variety and benefits of the country’s food offer.

The campaign promotes the following health boosters: quinoa, kiwicha, canihua, maca, yacon, chestnuts, carob tree, sacha inchi, Cusco's giant corn, purple corn, camu camu berries, cherimoya, soursop, lucuma, mangoes, grapes, tangerines and anchovies.

Well-known blueberries, asparagus, broccoli, avocados, pomegranates, cacao, and chocolates are also included.

It is worth noting the Inca nation enjoys a privileged status among global superfood producers thanks to its biodiversity, export capacity, as well as traceability and innovation through sustainable, transparent process chains.
