President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski affirmed his government makes further steps towards a healthcare revolution to provide service to all sectors of the country.

"We continue to make strides in health revolution," he stated in the latest broadcasting of "Conversando con el Presidente" (A Conversation with the President) —a TV show in which the top official interviews State ministers and prominent figures for about 25 minutes.

This new episode had Health Minister Patricia Garcia as special guest.

Mr. Kuczynski said healthcare [services] must be available to seniors aged over 65, as this group of people cannot get health insurance.

He went on to say the new electronic ID should provide access to systematized information about the health sector, such the medicine record.

"We have to simplify this process," the Peruvian leader stated.

Moreover, he explained healthcare begins at home, and cited hand washing and other hygiene practices as an example.

He stressed the need to take healthcare to the streets, given the exposure to viruses on public transportation.

Some streets record high levels of pollution —he remarked— such as the corner of Colmena and Abancay Avenues, where lots of people breathe particles harmful to human health.

"This is so terrible. That's why streets need to be cleaned up," he continued.

The statesman understands litter is another problem for health. Therefore, he called on municipalities to improve their waste collection processes.
