Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski said more promptness is required in State procedures, through the administrative simplification implemented by legislative decrees, which will speed up works and avoid corruption.

Remarks were made during the second broadcasting of "Conversando con el Presidente" (A Conversation with the President), a TV show in which the top official interviews State ministers and prominent figures for about 25 minutes.

Shot in the surroundings of Peru's Eastern Itaya River (Iquitos province) and in Andean Ayacucho region, the second episode featured Economy and Finance Minister Alfredo Thorne.

The Peruvian leader noted that preventing corruption, but also working properly and fast, is the most important thing.

"Things need to be improved in rivers, roads, bridges under Reconstruction with Changes, which means this project will be such a big thing," he said.

At another time, the 78-year-old said Peru's Amazon area and its unique rainforest need to be preserved.

"We need to issue bonds against carbon emissions, green bonds, to do so. The Government of Norway is helping us on this regard. We are going to work to prevent illegal logging," he warned.

Likewise, he expressed his interest in the supply of basic services like drinking water and sewer systems in Eastern rainforest Loreto region, a key part of the government's plan in favor of Peruvian nationals.
