Spain's leading newspaper El Pais on Monday described Peru as one of the most attractive places to invest in Latin America, and highlighted the Inca country's opportunities and development.
Speaking during
"Peru of the Future" forum, El Pais Editor-in-Chief Antonio Caño underlined the Andean nation's evolution in recent decades.
Comparing Peru's current situation to that in the 1980s, Caño affirmed the country has gone from being a place plagued by "violent theories" to a "space for opportunities and development."
Also at the event, Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski stressed the Inca country's need for better social indicators.
During a dialogue with Juan Luis Cebrian, CEO of El Pais media conglomerate owner PRISA Group, the Head of State affirmed Peru needs a "social reform" to go with the much-needed economic growth.
