The Government of Peru reiterates its firm commitment to promoting the restoration of democratic order in Venezuela, the Foreign Affairs Ministry stressed on Wednesday.

Via Twitter, the institution reaffirmed Peru's stance on the matter in response to insolent remarks by Venezuelan Foreign Minister Delcy Rodriguez, who —once again— insulted President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski.

This time, Rodriguez lambasted the Peruvian leader demanding that he "get his funereal hands out of Venezuela" following Mr. Kuczynski's recent call for an international mechanism to aid the Bolivarian nation.

President Kuczynski has repeatedly expressed his concern over the political, economic and social crisis ravaging Venezuela, as well as his solidarity with the neighboring country.

Most recently, the statesman underlined the need to ensure the releasing of political prisoners, and proposed an international arbitration move to contribute to a way out of the crisis.
