Peru Navy ship BAP Union visits Germany

As part of an overseas instruction trip, Peruvian Navy ship BAP Union moored at Hamburg (Germany) on August 2-6, the Inca country’s Foreign Affairs Ministry informed.

The visit included a number of activities featuring Peruvian Ambassador to Germany Elmer Schialer and Consul General to Hamburg Carlos Roman.

Ambassador Schialer gave BAP Union cadets a presentation on the history and various aspects concerning Peru and Germany bilateral ties, as well as the Andean nation's main foreign policy guidelines regarding the European country

In addition, Peru's diplomatic mission to Germany and the German-Peruvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted two working lunches aboard the vessel.

The luncheons convened German business sphere representatives in order to promote business and investment opportunities in Peru. 

On the other hand, 30 BAP Union officers and cadets paid a study visit to Hamburg-based copper producer Aurubis, leading integrated copper group and the world's largest copper recycler

The visit was possible thanks to the Peruvian Embassy in Germany and the German-Peruvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
