The “Peru Mucho gusto” publication was named the best in the Food&Wine Tourism Category of the 22nd Best Active Tourism Product Competition, held by the International Tourism Trade Fair (Fitur) in Spain.

The aim of the 22nd Best Active Tourism Product Competition at Fitur is to boost development and marketing within the tourist industry and to promote high-quality tourism products.

The Jury was made up of AireLibre Magazine readers, tourism professionals (Exhibitors at FITUR 2017), members of the media and tourist industry representatives.

They rated the following aspects: Original idea, product presentation and image, contribution to recovery of the environment and to sustainable development, quality of infrastructures, marketing and retailing channels.

This award will further promote Peruvian gastronomy through our flagship export products, linking dishes, recipes, consumable goods, and history with the most important tourist destinations all over the country.

‘Peru, Mucho Gusto’ is a Promperu tool available to all international attendees visiting the exhibition stall at the fairground, and is intended to attract potential travelers, gastronomy experts, and foodies interested in new trends.
