Three Bangladeshi tourists were arrested at Cusco's bus station on Tuesday afternoon for having entered the country illegally.

Tareq Ahmed, Mohammad Ismail Hossain and Md Omar Faruk, all aged 26, were taken to the State Security Department to verify their identities and immigration status.

Personnel at the Immigration Office confirmed the individuals came from Bangladesh. Identity forms were completed at the Criminology Department and shall be ratified by the Regional Office of the Foreign Affairs Ministry.

Cusco's Immigration Office found no immigration records for the foreigners, so they are believed to have entered Peru illegally.

In light of this, a police statement will be submitted to the National Migration Superintendent's office for the corresponding punishment.
