Remaining Peru soccer players land in New Zealand

Edison Flores viajo por casi 30 horas desde Dinamarca

19:37 | Auckland (New Zealand), Nov. 7.

Peruvians Edison Flores, Miguel Trauco, and Sergio Peña— who traveled more than 20 hours from Denmark, Brazil, and Spain, respectively— were the last national athletes to join their teammates in Auckland for the coming World Cup qualifying playoff against the All Whites this weekend.

The athletes were welcomed by physical coach Nestor Bonillo upon arrival at Auckland Airport.

The three sportsmen told reporters these matches will be the most important experience in their lives as professional soccer players, adding that mistakes are not allowed on that occasion.

The first delegation members arrived in Auckland last Monday following a 14-hour trip from Lima.

As is known, the Inca team will face the hosting squad in the first leg of the Peru-New Zealand FIFA World Cup intercontinental playoff tie on November 11 at Wellington's Westpac Stadium at 4:15 PM (local time).
