In 2016 Peruvian economy will continue accelerating to expand by nearly 4%, driven essentially by mining sector and the execution of close to 15 infrastructure projects, Peru's Economy and Finance Minister Alonso Segura forecasted.
Peru's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) will dynamize in 2015 and reach an above 2.8% GDP growth, he noted.
The rate is slightly lower if compared to the official estimate (3.1%). The figure is nonetheless higher than that reached in 2014 (2.4%).
"The economic recovery will continue during the upcoming year […]. It will increase by over 3.5% in 2016, maybe closer to 4%, I’d say," he projected.
"This shows Peruvian economy continues growing," he added.
