Entrepreneurs from the Pacific Alliance's member states are eager to invest and develop their businesses in the Peruvian tourist sector, Peru's Foreign Trade and Tourism Minister, Magali Silva, said on the sidelines of the ongoing inPeru business roadshow.
The minister stressed the business gathering has been a success so far as many businessmen from the three countries - Mexico, Chile and Colombia - comprising the economic bloc have expressed their willing to move their capitals to the Andean nation.
Moreover, Silva noted that several foreign investors has scheduled business appointments for February next year in Peru in order to see the opportunities in the luxury hotels segment raising in the country's inner regions.
"Another group of investors are willing to drive the infrastructure investment required for organizing and hosting mega-corporate events in Lima," the government's top official said.
inPeru, a nonprofit Peruvian Association, conducted a Pacific Alliance roadshow which was backed by the government and was aimed at attracting overseas investors from the trading bloc's member states in the country's sector of tourism.
The business roadshow was carried out from December 9th through 11th and stopped off in major capital cities of South America, including Santiago, Chile; Bogota, Colombia; and Mexico D.F., Mexico.
