Peru's National Public Investment System (SNIP) has been recognized as model for the Latin American and Caribbean Public Investment Systems Network.

The recognition was made during the 6th International SNIP Network Seminar held in Costa Rica on April 18th-19th, 2016.

At the said event, authorities exchanged experiences concerning systems' development, as well as future goals for the following years.

The Network aims to strengthen the functioning of these state systems, which contribute to member countries' growth and development, as well as inequality reduction.

The mechanism is supported by the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
