Peru’s democracy and economy were praised by Spanish Prime Minister

Spain Prime Minister José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero and Peru's President Alan Garcia talked to the press in Madrid.

Spain’s Prime Minister, José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, praised the course of Peru’s democracy and economy, during president Alan García official visit to Spain. In a joint communiqué issued with the Peruvian government, he added that Peru’s president has fulfilled the purpose of strengthen ore the relation between both countries.
 
According to the communiqué, Rodríguez Zapatero and García held a work meeting in Madrid to discuss subjects related to bilateral relations and regional and international situations.
 
President García, who is accompanied by Foreign Affais Minister José García Belaunde, showed Spain’s Prime Minister Peru’s economic situation, which is prepared to receive new foreign investments.

In turn, Rodríguez Zapatero praised the course of Peru’s democracy and economy and presented Spain and Europe situation.

In the regional and international field, they analyzed Latin America’s situation, especially the Andean Region, and talked about EU-LAC Summit to be held in Lima and about the Association Agreement between the Andean Community and the European Union.

Finally, the communiqué states that president García will be smother with attentions by Kings Juan Carlos and Sofía.
