Venezuelan citizens residing in Peru on Saturday protested peacefully against President Nicolas Maduro for the situation facing their country.

The demonstration —known as "No More Dictatorship"— was held simultaneously in other countries: Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Spain and Australia.

Said rally was intended to denounce the humanitarian crisis Venezuela currently goes through.

Held at Kennedy Park in the Lima district of Miraflores, protesters waved Venezuelan flags and placards with messages "Venezuela SOS" and "Fighting for Freedom."

At the site, they also expressed gratitude to the Peruvian people for the support received, which has enabled them to get jobs and deal with this difficult situation.
