Peru to face Venezuela, Uruguay in March

Peru's national soccer team will face Venezuela and Uruguay on March 23 (Maturin) and March 28 (Lima), respectively.

These matches comprise its last opportunity to guarantee a place at Russia 2018 World Cup.

After being defeated by Brazil (0-2), Peruvians are not allowed to make any mistakes in the South American Qualifiers.

Led by the Argentinean coach Ricardo Gareca, the red-white holds the eighth spot from a total of 10. Peru has seen six defeats, four victories and two draws (14 points).

In this context, Gareca traveled to Brazil to meet with three top national players: Paolo Guerrero (Flamengo), Miguel Trauco (Flamengo) and Christian Cueva (Sao Paulo) prior to the matches.
