Peru's agro-export sector is expected to close deals worth over US$100 million at "Fruit Logistica 2016" fair, Peru's Agriculture and Irrigation Ministry forecasted on Wednesday.

Fruit Logistica 2016 is Europe's top fresh produce trade, which gathers main European importers. It covers every single sector of the fresh produce business and provides a complete picture of the latest innovations, products and services comprised in the international supply chain.

This international event —organized by Messe Berlin GmbH Company— runs Berlin (Germany) from February 3rd-5th, 2016.

In this sense, the portfolio has contributed to the participation of two producers' associations in charge of trading berries and avocados based in Arequipa region's Majes and Chincheros (Apurimac region), respectively.

Likewise, both companies rely on an exportable supply made up of blueberries, aguaymantos and Hass avocados.

Such organizations participate in the trade mission organized by Peru’s Exporters Association (ADEX), which kicked off in Rotterdam (Netherlands), Europe’s main food distribution center.

It must be noted the European Union is the world's most active economic bloc and the second most important destination for Peruvian fruits and vegetables shipments.
