Lima, Oct. 2.
Peru Service Summit —the Inca nation's business platform for the export of services— kicked off today and expects to generate over US$95 million in sale commitments, Foreign Trade and Tourism Minister Eduardo Ferreyros said Monday.

Running until October 5, the event is intended to put the Peru's export supply together with the foreign import demand.

"We expect US$95 million in sale commitments for this year, compared to US$92 million in deals seen last year, thanks to the workforce of the export of services sector," he said.

Since its first edition in 2011, Peru Service Summit has positioned itself as one of the main business platforms in the region by hosting the International Service Exports Forum, which has so far gathered over 124,000 attendees.

This edition seeks to benefit Peruvian entrepreneurs exporting services from sectors such as Software, BPO, Marketing, Graphic Design, Engineering, as well as Editorial and Graphic Services.

The event will feature a business round involving buyers and investors from Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Spain, the United States, and Panama.

Peru Service Summit takes place at Los Delfines Hotel in Lima.

It is organized by PromPeru with the support of the Ministries of Foreign Trade-Tourism and Foreign Affairs; Peru's Private Investment Promotion Agency (ProInversion); Association of Peruvian Exporters (Adex); Peru's Foreign Trade Society (Comex Peru); and Lima Chamber of Commerce (CCL).

The organization is also run by National Society of Industries (SNI); Peruvian Book Chamber (CPL); Peruvian Association of Software Developers (APESOFT); Peruvian Association of Contact Centers (Apecco) and Peruvian Chamber of Franchises (CPF).
