Peru’s Exports and Tourism Promotion Board (PromPeru) conducts market research and studies aimed at benefiting the most from the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) signed by Peru and other nations, PromPeru Export Promotion Director Luis Torres said.

He went on to add agreements and covenants always represent opportunities, since market openings "provide preferential access to the country, which requests it."

“We are conducting corresponding researches to enable our enterprises and products to enter these commercial spaces once the agreement comes into force,” he told Andina news agency.

Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, United States, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Singapore, Vietnam and Peru reached a free trade agreement, which must be approved by each country's legislative branches.

TPP gathers a select group of nations, which jointly account for 40% of global economy and a market of over 800 million consumers.
