The authorization for Peruvian President Ollanta Humala to participate in the World Economic Forum (WEF) and the 4th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) was published on Thursday.

The announcement was made official through a legislative resolution published in El Peruano official gazette.

According to this document, the Peruvian leader will remain in Davos (Switzerland) from January 19th-24th, where he will attend the WEF 2016's Annual Meeting. 

Mr. Humala —along with authorities and entrepreneurs— will hold highest-level meetings aimed at promoting Peru's economic interests and disseminating its image as an economically-stable nation, offering competitive advantages to attract foreign investments.

CELAC

Moreover, Peru's top official was also authorized to travel to Ecuador, where he will take part in the CELAC Summit on January 26th-28th, 2016.

The said resolution was signed by President Ollanta Humala Tasso, Prime Minister Pedro Cateriano, Congress Chairman Luis Iberico and First Vice Chairwoman Natali Condori.

Permissions were granted during the Peruvian Parliament 2015-2016 term's last plenary session.
