The Pacific Alliance generates endless opportunities in different areas related to the trade sector, Peru’s President Ollanta Humala affirmed on Thursday.

Remarks were made after his arrival in Peru’s Southern Paracas city, which currently hosts the 10th Summit of the Pacific Alliance.

"Pacific Alliance generates endless opportunities in different areas related to the trade and economic activity. Likewise, it allows putting in place an additional benefit the Pacific Alliance offers, which is the Entrepreneurial Forum," he told after decorating Mexico's President, Enrique Peña Nieto.

Mr. Humala awarded military decorations to his homolog, who was the first of the three foreign top officials to arrive in Paracas.

On the other hand, the arrivals of Colombian and Chilean Heads of State, Juan Manuel Santos and Michelle Bachelet, are expected this afternoon.

The four Latin American leaders are due to participate as speakers in the presentation “Pacific Alliance: Future Vision” starting at 18:00 hours (23:00 GMT). The President of the Inter-American Development Bank, Luis Alberto Moreno, will serve as moderator.

"We, the Heads of State, have come here to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and friendship," he pointed out.

Joining Mr. Humala were Peru's Foreign Affairs Minister, Ana Maria Sanchez, other authorities and First Lady Nadine Heredia.

On Friday, the Heads of State will attend the Presidential Summit of the Pacific Alliance.
