Peru President inaugurates school remodeling works in Northern Peru

Peruvian President Ollanta Humala headed the remodeling and expansion works of the educational institution Number 11136 “Señor de Sican”.

It is located in the Sapame Village, belonging to the Illimo district in the Northern Lambayeque region.

The project, worth S/. 4.02 million (about US$1.34 million), is intended to benefit some 200 students.

"Those works help to improve the education quality for Peruvian youth and students. Those children will then be able to access social programs, such as Beca 18 to continue their studies and pursue a career. That is how I work for youth," he told.

11 classrooms, one lab, a computer room,  library, a sports area and a perimeter fence were built. Furniture equipment was also acquired.

The works will enable to increase the educational service quality offered to students, affirmed the Government Palace’s Press Secretariat.
