Peru's President Ollanta Humala highlighted the importance of continuing implementing social programs for the ones in most need.

Remarks were made in Pucalpa city, after his participation in the ceremony organized to deliver keys to 249 new home owners. The houses were built thanks to government-run Techo Propio system in the Ucayali region.

As well, the President reaffirmed the commitment made by his administration to remain boosting investments, fighting against crime and implementing a policy that strengthens the social aspect.

Mr. Humala went on to add his administration will continue working for the "ones in most need." It must be noted his Presidential term will conclude on July 28, 2016.

“That’s why we work and that is why the President takes time to travel,” the Head of State expressed.

Concerning housing, he said the government offers different modalities to enable people to own a house.
One of them is by granting “special credits,” while the other one is aimed at people living in extreme poverty: The Techo Propio (Own Roof) program.

The President was joined by Minister of Housing, Construction and Sanitation, Milton von Hesse; and congressman Teofilo Gamarra, among others.
