"The first of them was to incorporate small, medium, and large business owners, as well as worker unions, into the National Citizen Security Council (Conasec)," the Presidential Office reported via X (formerly Twitter).
Ministers Victor Torres (Interior) and Ana Maria Choquehuanca (Production) participated in the gathering held at the Government Palace in the Peruvian capital, Lima.
Another agreement reached at the event was the installation of a communication channel to report extortion cases.
"In parallel, it was agreed that the contributions of the guilds and unions will be analyzed," the post added.
On March 22, the Head of State held a first meeting with representatives of business guilds and unions.
There, the top official announced the creation of the Transnational Crime Investigation Unit. It will be made up of 300 elite troops and rely on exceptional resources to confront and dismantle foreign mafias in Peru.
