Thanks to the newly-launched electronics service workshop, Peruvian Air Force takes a major technological leap forward to ensure proper aircraft maintenance, Prime Minister Pedro Cateriano highlighted.

Remarks were made as the government official was touring workshop facilities on Monday morning.

According to Cateriano, such project was executed thanks to investments made by the current administration aimed at designing modern aircrafts.

"This represents a technological leap forward by the Air Force. In the economic sphere, it will lead to savings since maintenance works, mainly carried out overseas, will now take place at the workshop located in [Lima's] Las Palmas Air Base," the official explained.

Besides, the said establishment will also provide services to third parties.

"This way, we are confident such industrial compensation will enable the Air Force to properly maintain aircrafts [...]," Cateriano added.
