Peru: Molinelli sworn in as Development and Social Inclusion Minister

Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski on Thursday afternoon administered the oath to Fiorella Molinelli Aristondo, the new Development and Social Inclusion Minister.

She will thus replace Cayetana Aljovin, who will lead the Energy and Mines portfolio starting today.

Previously, Molinelli served as Deputy Minister of Transport and Housing sectors under the Kuczynski administration.

The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Government Palace in Lima. 

The event saw the presence of cabinet members led by Prime Minister Fernando Zavala.

Bio

Molinelli graduated in Economics from Lima-based Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru (PUCP).

The 43-year-old holds a Master's degree in Economics and Public Policies from Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (Argentina).

Likewise, she earned a PhD in Government and Public Policies from Universidad San Martin de Porres' Government Institute.

Fiorella Molinelli is a professional specialized in public management, public policies and regulation with emphasis on electricity, hydrocarbons and mining sectors.
