Thanks to joint efforts made by BVL along with the government there is much optimism that Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) will retain Peru Index as part of Emerging Markets, Lima's Stock Exchange (BVL) General Manager Francis Stenning indicated.
"We are very optimistic that Peru will retain the emerging-market classification; we think there is much to do, and we have to undertake more efforts in February and March […]," he affirmed.
The official went on to add an Economy and Finance Ministry-led coordination group interacts with both the private and public sectors with the aim of meeting this objective.
Likewise, Stenning noted planned actions are being implemented.
