Peru gains recognition in international community, says president

President Ollanta Humala noted Peru is gaining increasing recognition in the international community and highlighted his government’s decision to open its market and deepen ties with nations across the globe.

After being greeted by Diplomatic Corps accredited in the country, the Peruvian leader thanked the international community for the support given to the country through agreements of various kinds.

“Thank you all for your commitment to working hand in hand with Peru, for those signed agreements, all this leads us to conclude that the country is gaining recognition in the international community and we are willing to keep moving forward on this goal,” he stated.

Moreover, the head of State highlighted his government intends to work closely with neighboring nations in order to build a community in which poverty, inequity and human development problems can be overcome.
