Moyobamba province Mayor Oswaldo Jimenez affirmed ExpoAmazonica 2017 fair will contribute to consolidating Alto Mayo Valley coffee's presence in international markets.

"We are closing Expo Amazonica's business rounds with [having registered] important figures, mainly due to coffee," Jimenez told Andina news Agency.

Peruvian coffee —particularly that from Alto Mayo Valley— has a great quality and is considered a high-level product in international markets.

According to Jimenez, the valley hosts 40,000 hectares of organic coffee currently considered San Martin region's flagship product.
