Peru's Education Ministry will host the 1st International Seminar on Full-time School Day entitled "A Bet on Learning Improvement."

This event aims to teach, reflect and debate on experiences related to the Full-time School Day program (JEC).

Likewise, it seeks to analyze outlooks and challenges towards model implementation, besides crafting proposals for continuity and sustainability.

National and foreign experts from Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay will hold presentations on assessments of JEC's impact and public policies to ensure sustained development.

This forum is backed by the Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science and Culture (OEI), United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and the UN Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF).

The seminar will take place in Lima on July 7th-8th, 2016

JEC

Launched in 2015, the JEC model has been progressively implemented at nearly 1,600 public high-schools. This initiative benefits over 500,000 million students nationwide.
