Peru appoints new consuls to U.S., Canada, Venezuela cities

Peru's Foreign Affairs Ministry appointed new Consuls-General to cities in the United States, Canada and Venezuela as part of its foreign policy, which prioritizes the protection and attention of Peruvian communities based abroad.

According to a supreme resolution published in official newspaper El Peruano, Ambassador Gloria Nalvarte Simoni de Isasi was appointed new Consul-General to Washington D.C. (United States). 

The resolution also decrees the appointment of Ana Cecilia Gervasi Diaz as new Consul-General to Toronto (Canada) and Julio Romero Ojeda as new Consul-General to Puerto Ordaz (Venezuela).

The diplomats were granted corresponding credentials and full powers. 

The document was signed by President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski and Foreign Affairs Minister Ricardo Luna.
