Peru appoints new Consul-General to Chicago

The Executive Power appointed Luis Juan Chuquihuara Chil as new Peruvian Consul-General to Chicago (U.S.).

Previously, the diplomat served as Permanent Representative of Peru to the Organization of American States (OAS) based in Washington D.C.

On the other hand, Agustin De Madalengoitia Gutierrez's duties as Peruvian Consul-General to Chicago were terminated.

Furthermore, Peru's Executive Branch has announced the termination of services of Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Peru to Russia, France, Greece, Albania and Bulgaria.

According to supreme resolutions published this Sunday in official newspaper El Peruano, Carlos Velasco Mendiola appointment as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Peru to Russia was concluded.

The Executive also decreed the completion of Felipe Lembcke appointment as Peruvian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to France.

Likewise, Jorge Roman Morey's duties as Peruvian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Greece, Albania and Bulgaria were concluded.

In the three last aforementioned cases, the Government ordered the cancellation of corresponding credentials and full powers issued to the diplomats and thanked them for the important services rendered to the nation.

Documents were signed by President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski and Foreign Affairs Minister Ricardo Luna.
