A total of 150,000 Peruvian citizens entered the labor sector in the first quarter of the current year, Peru's Labor Minister Daniel Maurate affirmed.
The figure denotes significant progress has been made.
"150,000 jobs have been created over the first-three month period, which means at least 135,000 people have joined a social security provider [...]," the minister indicated.
Such figures "denote good news for the country," despite the Latin American context characterized by economic downturn leading to poverty rates increase.
"Employment growth was possible thanks to efforts undertaken by all Peruvians, employers, productive units and workers," the official explained.
At the same time, he highlighted that the number of employed disabled citizens is also increasing.
