Pacific Alliance's Presidential Summit to gather leaders in Chile

The 11th Presidential Summit of the Pacific Alliance will take place in Los Lagos region (Chile) on July 1st, 2016.

The diplomatic event will gather Presidents: Michelle Bachelet (Chile), Ollanta Humala (Peru), Enrique Peña Nieto (Mexico), Juan Manuel Santos (Colombia), Luis Guillermo Solis (Costa Rica) and Mauricio Macri (Argentina). Peruvian President-Elect Pedro Pablo Kuczynski will also attend.

Dignitaries at the forum will focus on supporting and promoting small- and medium-sized companies (SMEs) within the regional group. 

Such event marks the conclusion of meetings among ministers, deputy ministers and observer States. The 3rd Business Summit will be held at the same time. 

During the gathering, Peru will hand over the bloc's pro-tempore presidency to Chile. 

Pacific Alliance

Launched in 2011, the Pacific Alliance is a regional integration mechanism reuniting Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru. It seeks to facilitate the free movement of goods, services, capital and people among the four member countries.

Full members host a population of 216 million people and represent 38% of Latin American and Caribbean GDP.
