Pacific Alliance Deputy Ministers hold 1st High Level Group meeting

Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Pacific Alliance-belonging countries: Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru, gather at the first Meeting of the High-Level Group (GAN), which marked the beginning of the 10th Pacific Alliance Summit.

The meeting, which kicked off on Wednesday morning, takes place at Libertador Hotel located in Paracas city (Peru’s Ica region).

After a break, the second session will start at 3.00 P.M.

Some representatives participating in this gathering are Peru's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Eduardo Martinetti Macedo, and Deputy Minister of Trade, Edgar Vasquez.

According to the Chancellery of Peru, the Deputy Ministers assess the advances regarding the implementation of the presidential agreements.

The Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Tourism from the bloc’s belonging-nations are expected to arrive in Paracas this afternoon.

On Thursday, the officials will participate at the Meeting of the “Council of Ministers of the Pacific Alliance” where they will review the progress achieved by the technical groups and assess the new integration proposals.
Also, this Cabinet will submit a report on the status of the bloc to the Pacific Alliance's Heads of State.
