No Peruvian nationals among victims of Hurricane Harvey

The Consulate General of Peru in Houston said there were no Peruvians among the victims of Hurricane Harvey after it made landfall in Texas, U.S.

Information was provided and confirmed by U.S. official sources.

In addition, none of them are reported to have lost their houses.

In light of this dreadful disaster, the consular mission keeps in touch with the Peruvian community through the main associations in the area.

This way, Peruvians are provided with timely and necessary information about Hurricane Harvey.

According to AFP, Hurricane Harvey slammed into the Texas coast late Friday, unleashing torrents of rain and packing powerful winds as it became the first major storm to hit the U.S. mainland in 12 years.
