Peruvian Navy ship BAP Guardiamarina San Martin on Wednesday left Callao Naval Base loaded with 60 tons of provisions and water for Salaverry Port, Production Minister Bruno Giuffra said on Tuesday.

"Donations came from different collection points across the capital authorized by the Ministry; and they will be used to meet basic needs of inhabitants hit by the so-called coastal El Niño [phenomenon]," Production Ministry's head pointed out.

Likewise, he continued, BAP Eten will arrive at Callao Naval Base on Wednesday to load and transport education modules to Paita Port in Piura.

As is known, Eten carried equipment and two Bailey bridges to the aforementioned port last week.

It is worth noting the Peruvian Navy and private-run National Fisheries Society (SNP) have created a maritime bridge to timely bring humanitarian assistance to disaster affected areas in northern Peru.
