Peruvian capital city, Lima, earned a nomination for World's Leading Meetings & Conference Destination 2017 at World Travel Awards.
Hailed as "The Oscars of the travel industry" the
World Travel Awards organization celebrates its 24th anniversary this year at JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort & Spa in Vietnam.
The World Travel Awards Grand Final will take place on December 10th at the luxury five-star beach resort, welcoming hundreds of hospitality leaders from across the region and around the world.
The winner of such category will be announced on that evening.
Lima competes with Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates), Auckland (New Zealand), Barcelona (Spain), Cancun (Mexico) Dubai (United Arab Emirates), Durban (South Africa), Hong Kong (China), Las Vegas, Nevada (USA).
Other nominees include Medellin (Colombia), Melbourne (Australia), Nairobi (Kenya), Panama City (Panama), Paris (France), Quito (Ecuador), Shanghai (China) and Singapore (Singapore).
