Famed Peruvian tenor Juan Diego Florez admitted he is happy he can use music to contribute to Peru's reconstruction, as well as bring hope and encouragement to so many people who lost everything in "Coastal El Niño" floods.

"The idea of giving this benefit concert came to my mind since the moment I realized what was happening in our country, so we started to work hard to make this a reality," the tenor pointed out.

The July 1st performance will include a special appearance by children and youth from Symphony for Peru's orchestra and choir.

A total of 400 young musicians will join Juan Diego Florez with their instrumental performance abilities, energy and voice.

The cast also includes musicians and dancers who will convene at the National Stadium to bring rhythms and dances from every region of Peru.

"This is not a classical music gig, as many may think; the concert will feature Peruvian music from the coast, highlands and rainforest. It will put together dances, musicians and Symphony for Peru's children," Florez commented.

"This will be a fantastic show and I'm glad and excited I can organize it," he added.

Tickets will go on sale via Teleticket platforms at Wong and Metro supermarkets on April 27. The cheapest seats will cost S/50 (around US$15) and Cencosud card holders can get a 20% discount.

Furthermore, Movistar Priority users will be able to access 20% discount pre-sale tickets on April 25-26 before the general public.
