The Peruvian Government has reaffirmed its commitment to continue working to promote economic recovery in all regions across the country.

"The country will not stop during Holy Week," the Presidency of the Republic said in a video statement shared on Thursday.

"At present, around 1.4 million people are traveling across Peru; families, couples, friends, and travelers are enjoying the best our country has to offer, thereby reviving the economy in all regions through tourism," it stated.

With an average expenditure of S/514 (about US$138) per person, an economic impact of around US$195 million is expected.

"The Government continues to work with pride for our land, history, people, and culture. Travel through Peru, travel through your history," the Presidency of the Republic added.
