COP20 cultural agenda includes music, exhibits and bird watching

Many cultural and artistic activities will be held in parallel with the Twentieth Conference of the Parties (COP20) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change taking place in Lima.

The cultural agenda includes music concerts, display of works by artisans, races, photography exhibitions, storytelling, urban interventions and workshops that teach how to preserve nature.

One of the events in the agenda is Futuro Caliente (Hot Future), a public forum consisting of round-table discussions, projections and music; it will take place from December 5-8 in Alameda de la Integración, in downtown Lima.

People can also sign up for the race Think Green, Run For Your Planet (Piensa Verde, Corre por tu Planeta), scheduled for December 7 in San Borja district, which aims to increase awareness on the environment care through sports.

The agenda also includes a Bird Watching tour in El Olivar park, in San Isidro district. It will be a guided 50-minute walk conducted in 3 languages: Spanish, English and Portuguese.

Those in Lima will also have the chance to attend a photography exhibition on Putumayo river and its tributaries, and an painting display by Amazon artist Gino Ceccarelli.

Furthermore, there is a choir festival at ICPNA's auditorium in Miraflores district, and a performance by saxophonist Carolina Aráoz at Teatro Británico.
