F.C. Bayern Muenchen’s Peruvian striker, Claudio Pizarro, was thrilled to be wearing the "white-blue" Alianza Lima official jersey 15 year after his departure from the club to the German soccer league.

Alianza Lima, one of Peru’s most popular soccer team, enabled to turn Pizarro into one of Peru’s most popular players in the country. This led him to be later hired by German club: Werder Bremen in 1999.

Pizarro assured his mind is on “returning to Alianza Lima” in the future. In the past, the striker had admitted his desire for playing at the club sometime after his career in Europe comes to an end.

“I am very excited. It is something very special to return to Alianza Lima. It is a joy that fills my heart,” Pizarro told Alianza Lima news website.

“Returning to Alianza is motivational. I will always love it, but I have a contract to fulfill in Germany. [Therefore], it is not possible yet,” he admitted.

On Sunday the striker, Paolo Guerrero and other former athletes, who had been considered idols of the Alianza Lima team, had the chance to –once again- wear the uniform of their beloved squad and play a friendly match. This occasion: “The day of the White-Blue fan”, referring to the official colors of the team.

Claudio Pizarro scored a goal.
