Peruvian software developer Moises Alexander Salazar was recognized in London for his mobile app Reach by Pitch@Palace, a British tech business talent-scouting initiative founded by His Royal Highness the Duke of York.
The young entrepreneur was one of the 12 finalists chosen to pitch their projects to a panel of judges from the world of entrepreneurship, tech, media and investment.
Moises, one of the three winners at Pitch@Palace LATAM held in Mexico last November, was the only Peruvian representative at the final networking event Pitch@Palace GLOBAL at St. James' Palace.
The Peruvian innovator presented the technical features and potential uses of Reach, as well as the difficulties he faced to pull off his innovative tech solution.
Reach is a geolocation-based cooperative social network that allows users to post incidents through mobile, desktop or web apps. The initiative also integrates said platforms through artificial intelligence, generating new opportunities to prevent crime and predict potential organized criminal activity.
At the end of the ceremony, the twelve finalists had the opportunity to talk to Prince Andrew and an exclusive group of entrepreneurs and potential guest investors.
HRH the Duke of York extended warm congratulations to the twelve talents, stressing they are all winners.
On the other hand, Peruvian Ambassador to the UK Claudio de la Puente highlighted Salazar's talent and tremendous effort to conceive and bring forward his project, a valuable contribution to citizen security.
"He is a source of pride and sets an example for all Peruvian young entrepreneurs," he pointed out.
