Peruvian tenor Juan Diego Florez headed a concert on Sunday, which became the closing act of the Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group (WBG) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) held in Lima on October 5-11.

At Lima's Grand National Theater, Florez put an extraordinary performance on display.

He was joined by his social project orchestra known as Sinfonia por el Peru (Symphony for Peru), composed of 150 children from underprivileged areas of the country.

La donna e mobile and O Sole Mio among others were performed. Likewise, series of Peruvian songs, such as a Marinera and the popular El Condor Pasa delighted the audience.

The show amazed attendees given the extraordinary quality of Peru’s top and unique tenor.

The WBG/IMF Annual Meetings, which gathered 15,000 people from across the world in the Peruvian nation’s capital, served to consolidate Peru’s image at the world level.
