Peru has been named among top 10 must-visit countries in the world by the UK's prestigious travel magazine Wanderlust.
The award ceremony took place in London and was attended by representatives from diverse countries, airlines, tour operators, and tourism industry professionals, among others.
It must be noted more than 2,000 readers responded to rate the destinations they had been in the last year.
First and second places were taken by Canada and New Zealand, respectively.
The print edition —to be published in April— will include the complete list of winners.
In the Spotlight
As is known, many Peruvian tourist attractions have gained international recognition over the last years.
Also, this ancient city served as a shooting location for the BBC, which broadcast documentaries shot in the Amazonas region.
Likewise,
Choquequirao Archeological Park was named the best place to travel in 2017 by Lonely Planet, the largest travel guide book publisher in the world.
