A delegation composed of 40 Peruvian doctors residing in the U.S., India, Mexico and Colombia, share their scientific experiences in Peru's Northern Lambayeque region.

Likewise, the physicians donated next-generation medical devices, created for the proper care of premature infants, to the Ferreñafe Referential Hospital.

According to Vladimiro Rozas Olivera, member of the Peruvian American Medical Society (PAMS), the equipment is worth around US$15,000.

The physician highlighted the fact that these recognized PAMS associates have chaired scientific conferences, workshops and others activities related to the medical field. Similarly, they shared experiences with the Ferreñafe town medical staff.

"We have lent support to the dialysis center, since we have brought dialysis experts […]. Surgeons from the U.S. and Lima have arrived [in Ferrenafe] to assist you to provide a better service to patients, since this will be a new service offered at this medical center", he indicated.

Likewise, Rozas said that PAMS is likely to organize a medical mission to Peru soon.

At the Medical School of Lambayeque, the Peruvian doctors, PAMS chairwoman Maria Ajogren, and Lalita Janke, chairwoman of the United States National Committee (USNC) for UN Women, along with local physicians Carlos Cerrón and Juan José Cruz Venegas, explained in detail the PAMS-sponsored activities held in this Northern area of the country.
