Nearly 600 professors attended the “Strengthening Abilities” Second Workshop, intended for professionals teaching at university faculties.

The workshop, sponsored by UNESCO, took place from November 18 – 22 this year. It aimed at implementing a comprehensive education policy required for training basic education teachers.

The activity was inaugurated by UNESCO’s representative in Lima, Magaly Robalino, and the Ministry of Education's director of pedagogic higher education, Paula Maguina.
It was held at the Presidente del Peru main school facilities in the Huampaní town.

The workshop aimed at strengthening the attendees’ professional abilities required to teach: communications, mathematics and citizenship-related courses.

During the summit, professors took part in workshops at which pedagogical planning, tasks development, theoretic deepening and pedagogical practice courses were taught.

Participants were also allowed to access international videoconferences.
