Three consortiums bid for Peru's $658mn Cusco airport concession

Peru's private investment promotion agency ProInversión received on Tuesday the technical and economic bids of three consortiums interested in the design, construction, financing, operation and maintenance of Cusco's Chinchero international airport.
The consortiums that submitted bids are the Kuntur Wasi consortium , the Aeroportuario Imperial consortium and the Aeropuerto Chinchero consortium.

Kuntur Wasi is comprised of Argentine firm Corporación América and local company Andino Investment Holding while Aeroportuario Imperial is made up of Colombia's Grupo Odinsa and Mota Engil Perú.

The Aeropuerto Chinchero consortium consists of France's Vinci Airport and Vinci Concessions and Peru's Graña y Montero.

There were seven prequalified consortiums, the four that did not continue in the process are Korea Airports Corporations, Agencias Universales, Ferrovial Aeropuertos, Consorcio Internacional OHL-Zúrich made up of OHL Concesiones and Flughafen Zúrich.

On April 25th, ProInversión will post the results of the technical requirements, open the economic bids and award the project.

According to Proinversión, the estimated investment of this project is US$658 million.
