President Kuczynski's visit to the People's Republic of China will strengthen business relations with the said nation.
Likewise, "it will guarantee Peru stays under the Asian country’s radar," The Economist Intelligence Unit's analyst for Peru Mark Keller affirmed.
"[President] Pedro Pablo Kuczynski chose China as one of Peru's most important business and investment partners," Keller expressed.
A few weeks ago, the top official announced China as his first presidential visit destination, scheduled for September 13.
The Asian nation is among Peru's leading trading partners and top investors in the mining sector.
"This way, Chinese investors can become partners in certain investment projects, such as infrastructure, among others," the expert explained.
"I think it is the first right choice," Keller told Andina news agency.
Visit of interest
It is worth noting the Ministry of Energy and Mining (MEM) declared of national interest Peruvian participation in the "China Mining Congress and Expo."
Said meeting will serve to consolidate a long term public-private decentralized platform to promote national interests.
MEM's official delegation includes Peruvian mining sector officials and high-ranking authorities.
The mission aims at strengthening ties among Peru and China's mining and related industries.
The event will take place in Tianjin (China) on September 22-25. It is organized by the Ministry of Land and Resources of the People's Republic of China, Tianjin Municipal Government and China Mining Association.
