Team Peru seeks podium finish at World Junior Waterski Champs

Team Peru will chase the podium at the 2014 World Junior Waterski Championship to be held between January 8th and 11th at the lagoons of Bujama Lacus S.A., about 85km south of Lima.

According to a press release issued by the Peruvian Olympic Committee, the event will bring together athletes from 25 countries.

Ricardo Caillaux, president of the Peruvian Water Ski Federation, presented the delegation that will take part in the games. The group will be lead by the Bolivarian Games 2014 champion Natalia Cuglievan.

Other Peruvian delegation members include Andrea Tejada, Rafael and Felipe Franco, as well as María Alejandra and Rafael de Osma, who will represent the country in each category. 

The lake is 680m. long by 55 m. wide at the slalom portion and 85 m. wide at the jump end.

It should be noted the tournament will be held in the summer, when the temperature is around 28 degrees Celsius.
